SOLVED: TLS Negotiation failed, the certificate doesn't match the host., code: 0
That works only if you have your own server with dedicated IP address and reverse DNS properly configured. Unfortunately that is not the case with shared hosting servers like GoDaddy's.try using domainname.com in you SMTP field
it worked for me
Any other fixes for this. My worm email is through network solutions but I have it as an alias in gmail and not been able to use it for days.
I deleted it and re-added the account, but all it's done is give me about 1300 previously deleted emails in my inbox, but I still can't send anything.

Adding and deleting accounts has no effect on this issue. You need to change the alias to the server name that is in the reverse DNS of your IP address. Do you have cPanel? If you have, what is the URL of your cPanel after you have logged in to it?Guest wrote: ↑2020-4-13 22:45Any other fixes for this. It worked! This has been driving me nuts. You are a excellent person. Thank you.

so far have not found a fix, and trying to reset or edit the sending e mail address did not work either.

for those of us who don;t have an account, can we create one and follow the steps to get the gmail deliver the mail sent through another email?
You need to change the SMTP server name to match the name of the server where your email is hosted, and that server has to have an SSL certificate that Poople Gmail accepts. OK?mpnourian wrote: ↑2020-4-14 17:23so far have not found a fix, and trying to reset or edit the sending e mail address did not work either.
Hi Santeri, thank you so much for these detailed instructions. I am having the same issue, just started this morning. We don't use GoDaddy, we use Westhost. In our cpanel we don't have a shared server host name in the URL like you showed for GoDaddy. I'm able to find a "server name," but it didn't work when I input it into the SMTP server field, I got the error: "DNS Error: 1238801 DNS type 'aaaa' lookup of [server name] responded with code NXDOMAIN 1238801 DNS type 'a' lookup of [server name] responded with code NXDOMAIN , code: 0"
I'm not very tech savvy so I am doing my best to follow all this. Hope you have some ideas for me. Thank you so much!

Westhost is writing on their instructions that "your_server_name_can_be_found_in_cpanel_on_the_left_side". Can you find it? What is the server name?irving washington wrote: ↑2020-4-14 20:30we use Westhost. In our cpanel we don't have a shared server host name in the URL like you showed for GoDaddy. Hi. Been having same issue just this past week connecting my college account and Gmail. Never happened before. Was always able to send normally. Now when I send through college SMTP, emails bounce back and don't get delivered. And this error message comes up. Any fix?
The server name that I find is sl-508-11. This is what I entered into the gmail field for SMTP server, and it gave me the error message. (I'm not sure if this is the right one...
Thank you so much, this is the most valuable information I have come across so far better than GoDaddy's service. Unfortunately for me, the problem does not seem to go away. I am getting this after following your steps "Authentication failed. Please check your username/password.
Server returned error: "DNS Error: 9952402 DNS type 'aaaa' lookup of https://sg2plcpnl0131.prod.sin2.secureserver.net:2083/ responded with code NXDOMAIN 9952402 DNS type 'a' lookup of https://sg2plcpnl0131.prod.sin2.secureserver.net:2083/ responded with code NXDOMAIN , code: 0"
Any help will be greatly appreciated thank you

You need to remove ":2083/" from your server address as I mention in my instructions. Try sg2plcpnl0131.prod.sin2.secureserver.net and it should work fine.1dre203 wrote: ↑2020-4-15 02:20Thank you so much, this is the most valuable information I have come across so far better than GoDaddy's service.
