Can confirm that this works for crazydomains as well.
Hey Owen - are you able to provide instructions to fix the TLS problem with Crazy Domains?

My domain is hosted by godaddy but email is not. This problem started today (18 Apr 2020) and I'm at wits end trying to figure out what to do. I don't even know who to call for support. My domain provider might simply say they have nothing to do with Gmail and google will not even listen. Folks please advise.

I have the same problem but I'm using Hostgator. And I'm not very computer literate when I have to go too deep.

SSL certificates on their server appear to be misconfigured or missing:

If they ever get them fixed, you could try this as SMTP server:

Code: Select all

mail.mt.net.mk

Did you try to follow my instructions? Hostgator is using cPanel just like GoDaddy.

What is your current smtp server name that is not working?

What is the address of your website?

Thank you so much Santeri
I have tryed mail.mt.net.mk but it does not fix it, the only fix is to go with unseccured port 25

You are welcome. You might want to contact their support and tell them to get a valid SSL certificate for their SMTP server. I believe it is just a matter of time before Gmail will start rejecting unsecured connections as well.

I did contact them and told them, hope they will fix it.
BTW maybe I did something wrong, I have put mail.mt.net.mk where the smtp settings was. Do I need to do more? Port 25 or something else?

The golden rule in software engineering is that if it works, don't touch it. Does it work now?

No, it does not work. I have made changes just in smtp settings, I'm asking maybe do I need to change more, because I did just that, just smtp?

I think your only option is to try port 25 and select Unsecured connection. If it does not work, consider changing your email provider.

Generally speaking if an email provider is not able to get a working SSL certificate for their SMTP server, it is not really a good sign and I would find very hard to trust such organisation.

What is your domain name and current SMTP server name? Do you use cPanel to access your hosting? If you do, what is the URL to your cPanel?

For all those that use crazy domains use
