When updating World of Tanks (WoT) client, Wargaming.net Game Center refused to update the client giving the following error message:
Unable to handle application files [PATH]... Please try again later. (3012)
Restarting Game Center, running Game Center as Administrator, or repairing the installation did not help. Only after restarting the computer the updater rechecked update integrity, reloaded the update and managed to finally install it successfully.
Image If you get the same error, you need to restart your computer and try again until the update succeeds.

In this case I would try re-installing the game, but save your game settings before doing that. The settings are in Windows in this file:

Code: Select all

%appdata%/Wargaming.net/WorldOfTanks/preferences.xml
I can not verify the exact file path and filename as I do not have anymore Windows or WOT PC version, but those should be correct.

In MacOS they are in this file:

Code: Select all

'/Users/<TYPE YOUR USERNAME HERE>/Library/Application Support/Wargaming.net Game Center/Bottles/wargaminggamecenter64/drive_c/users/crossover/Application Data/Wargaming.net/WorldOfTanks/preferences.xml'
Copy settings to safety before uninstalling, and copy the file back after re-installing. This way you won't have to setup the game again after re-install. OK?

Cheers,
