Caribbean Princess was in a drydock for refurbishment in November 2024. In the process complimentary/free saunas and steam rooms were removed. Yet Princess website as well as their resellers are still advertising saunas and the cruise line has not updated the deck plans as you can see from the screenshot below.
Caribbean Princess has no longer complimentary/free sauna I was on the first cruise right after the dry dock (Rome to Fort Lauderdale, Florida on November 10, 2024) and I can confirm that the complimentary saunas were no longer there. Instead, there was just locker rooms for men and women, and a few showers with cold water. Spa manager confirmed to me that saunas were removed due to some safety regulations that apparently apply on Princess only as many other cruise lines are still offering complimentary saunas. However, they can sell you access to the thermal suite if you don't mind paying extra. The thermal suite in Sky Princess was so horrible last year that I didn't even bother to check it in Caribbean Princess. And in principle I didn't like the idea of buying a cruise with complimentary sauna and then having to pay extra for getting the service I had already paid for.

Other annoying things included jarring backing tracks in almost all "live" music performances, smell of puke on deck 15 aft, sewer smell in the buffet entrance, TV software crashing, water dripping from ceilings in the buffet, and having to beg for sugar free ice cream, although that last annoyance was my own fault. I didn't want a gallon of ice cream to melt, go bad and be thrown away only for having a tiny scoop for myself. Apparently all the others were sugar junkies.

How can you trust a cruise line that is not keeping their promises? I know I won't trust Princess Cruises again. Next time there might be buffet or shows missing, or an extra charge for the popcorn and using elevators.

Bye bye little fairy Princess,

Santeri

Greed is killing that cruise line.

Although saunas were removed 2 months ago, Princess agents are still cheating customers to think there are saunas onboard Caribbean Princess. See for example VacationsToGo and Topkinisis Deck 16 (Sun) deck plans.

The scam cruise line Princess is using scam agents to scam customers. Yet another good reason not to trust cruise lines and buy cruises.

I didn't believe you and went to Bahamas cruise with Caribbean Princess. My travel agent reassured me that there is public sauna and I saw it on the website. I feel so stupid.

This is quite incredible. I made them very clear that I will never use Princess again, so they offered 100€ future cruise credits as compensation. Are they illiterate or idiots?
Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us here at the home offices of Princess Cruises regarding our mutual client’s cruise on November 10, 2024, on the Caribbean Princess.

I wanted to first apologize to [them] for the disappointment they experienced when they found out that we no longer offer the free sauna onboard the Caribbean Princess. We certainly understand how they were looking forward to this part of their cruise, and we apologize for the upset this has caused them.

Please be assured that I will be forwarding their comments on to the appropriate department for updating, future planning, and training. As a one-time gesture of goodwill, we would like to offer [each of them] a $100 Euro Future Cruise Credit per person that they can use towards a future cruise. They will each have a Book By Date of one year from the date of creation. They do not have to sail by that date, they just need to have a booking on file with us by that date. Their Future Cruise Credits will be ready to use by the end of business today.

Thank you for your business. We hope the goodwill gesture of the $100 Euro Future Cruise Credits will help to encourage [them] to begin to plan their next cruise with us. If you have any questions or would like to further discuss, please contact me at the telephone number below, or reply to this email. We look forward to welcoming [them] onboard again soon.

Best regards,

What a bunch a greedy losers who are desperate to sell their crappy thermal suite torture chamber. I am so happy I will never have to sail with Princess again.

By the way, all Holland America's ships have complimentary and well built Finnish saunas. Princess' claim about "safety regulations" is bullshit unless those regulations apply to Princess only.
