Being omnivore was easier in Russia in 2006 than being vegan 10 years later in 2016. There was plenty of sausages, chicken and smetana. Veganism is relatively new in Russia. As the ruble has gone down a lot, all food was quite cheap, also vegan. With US $4,50 we ate well vegan food. Here are some tips for being Vegan in Russia. All in all, the Russian kitchen was welcoming for vegans and it is getting better day by day as more Russian began to eat vegan food.
