Lidl prices have skyrocketed globally while the quality of their products has collapsed. Higher price does not guarantee or even mean better quality. This appears to be too hard for Lidl to comprehend.

Lidl is offering discount coupons and special offers that are 10-25% more expensive than exactly the same products in other supermarkets. And if you use coupons, you end up paying even more than the normal price in Lidl. Apparently Lidl has changed their target market from price conscious customers to idiots who don't compare prices in other supermarkets and just keep buying whatever is a special offer or has a discount coupon. Hope there will be enough stupid idiots to keep Lidl afloat. Losing competition that helps to keep prices in reasonable levels would be a shame. And yes, this has nothing to do with quality although Lidl wants you to believe so. In general their products are exactly the same as others unless they are really low quality trash like their non-food products.
